Tomytec Lorry Bashing
« on: May 19, 2019, 10:04:20 PM »
Hi

I am working through a few conversions by adapting Tomytec lorries

The first one is a bit of a test using spare bits I had but it turned out OK

I have a few lorries with the more modern style cabs better suited for the UK next up for conversion

Hi All

Another Tomytec bashed truck

Originally a trailer with 20' container converted to a short wheel base refrigerator trailer using a 30' container with the frame removed from around the chiller unit and spray painted white to cover the original Japanese decals

Ideal for urban supermarket deliveries

I like it. Not something I've tried.

Do you have a picture of the unbushed (surely thats unbashed?) original?

Cheers

got a pile of these and similar in the stash, bought years ago at very good prices, and so acceptable to bash.

lovely models, ok maybe not 100% for UK, but IMHO ideal for the layout.

OK the spelling sorted

 :dunce:

I did not take a photo of the lorry before I started but just the standard 20' container trailer, a very common Tomytec model

I still need to fit some side bar protection on the trailer

Yes, number plates are to be done, just sourcing a suitable yellow for the rear

Hi All

Another lorry converted from a Japanese container lorry, this a beavertail plant carrier
The ramps are vertical, just the angle of the photos that make them look out of vertical
