which humbrol red for bufferbeams
« on: March 18, 2019, 09:35:49 AM »
I'm just about finished on my LNER A8 project. may I ask which Humbrol red to use for Bufferbeams and should the buffer 'barrels' be red or black. Ive only black and white photos so can't see colour. Can I use Humbrol satin clear over the transfers successfully ?

I'm also near complete on my Stanier 4-6-2 Gem tank kit, 7F Gem kit mineral tender engine and at the same point on my Beyer Garrett so the same questions apply for buffer 'barrel' correct painting.

Any help appreciated, thanks ; Fred

Yes, to both, generally. I'd test the varnish on home-made transfers (off the model) just in case, but proprietary ones should be fine.
