200 million train cab where drivers can't see out the window: Station signals obscured from the seat and views blocked by a wall housing the safety ladder put passengers in danger

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6790547/200million-train-cab-drivers-window-passengers-danger.html

I wonder what safety rules our layouts breach?  :uneasy:

only on the privatised railways  :'(

not doubt the franchise company is still getting it's subsidy from the government, and I presume the passengers have been paying, for years, in their increased fares for the new trains which cannot be used.

bring back British Rail ...
bring back Class 37s ...

oh, and get rid of that idiot Grayling  :claphappy:

I see no need for all the irrelevant political whinging, but something similar happened with 700s due the removal of the cabside windows, they had to install new angled stop boards on platforms showing FLU/RLU/ALL for 12-car, 8-car or all units respectively. Then some stations have all 3, and not in the same place!

Having thought earlier we don't have health & safety on layouts, I'm now imagining a model @Newportnobby standing holding a red flag beside the track wherever it gets near the edge of the baseboard world.
