Excellent work and what a fine job you have made of the little hut.
St Erth is, indeed, a charming little station which retains its quintessential branch line feel to this day.

If it looks right then it most probably is right.

Well  lit statiion scene
Very realistic but bright does it consume electricity

In reality, the lights are not nearly as bright. This is because of my camera. I've dimmed the LEDs down quite a bit.

:hellosign:
and thanks a lot for your comments! ;D It's been another two months of (very) slow but steady progress.

Here's the staff building (or whatever its purpose was) at St Erth station. It's a picture from my first stay in Cornwall in 2017 which gave me the idea of building a British-themed layout after all.

Would it not have been the waiting room for that platform?

Just a few snapshots.

Note the lit telephone box. Fitted some interior too.

The horses make a nice little scene on the hump bridge

A little experiment I did today...

For the departure board I just painted a strip of clear plastic film black, scratched some lines away and painted it over with light ochre. The box is lit by a very small LED. It clearly takes two to light the board evenly. I already have some ideas to improve this and make it look a bit more convincing. I'll keep you informed how it worked out ;)

Cheers
Christoph

Something I made yesterday. Shame that you won't see much of it once it is in place... :D

How did you make that?

Is it a 3D print?

Peco Modelscene No. 5191  ;) I just painted it new and dry brushed the lettering.

Tried to make some palm trees today:

They look a bit shaggy though. Maybe I'll try again using bristles of a paint brush...
