charging moving bus chassis

please help , how to charge a Tomytec moving bus set and additional chassis ?
bought new a couple of years ago , unused since , both chassis are connected to the laptop , both same results red light comes on , after a few seconds goes out , left on for quite awhile but no charge to the battery ?
any idea's ?

Oh dear. Reading through threads on this post google found  on the JNS forum, it sounds like your batteries may have failed by leaving them to go flat.   See the 6th post down:

thanks ntpntpntp , it looks like the battery's are dead , like the man says in the above link ''got a shelf full of expensive non runners'' .
maybe not worth chancing new bat's for the same to happen , best get rid    EBay ?

These Lipos can go to sleep. They can also be kicked back to life using pulses of about 5 volts.

I have had several o f these chassis since they first came out, and have a regular routine of charging and discharging them. I have only had one battery fail, and I replaced it with one of these:-
