A4 sized tram layout
« on: December 28, 2018, 12:45:18 PM »
I spent a bit of time last year not feeling engaged with my modelling... so as an attempt to get back into the swing of it I built a small A4 diorama of a rural tram stop

This got me inspired to build a 'Pre-metro' style underground tram station. Instead of just building a diorama this time, I decided to see if it was possible to build a layout in an A4 space. Sorry about the poor quality mobile phone pics!

What trams are you using?

The ones without lights are static Tomytec models, the ones with lights are Hobbytrain M6's with DCC chips. Unfortunately the Hobbytrain trams are a bit unreliable, so I might have to order replacement wheel sets for them (the manufacturer issued replacement parts with additional traction tyres because they originals have practically no traction at all!)

This is great.

I've been wanting to build a station diorama/cameo layout for a while and your work is giving me even more motivation to do it.

Thanks for sharing.

I am totally new to N Gauge, and haven'T really done and modell train stuff since i was a kid.

I am, however, now determined to build a Grim Northern English Industrial N Gauge Tram Town diorama in a 60cm Box Shelf.

Right... first things first.... money...
