I thought I would take a break from track laying and wiring and do a bit building work so I raided my come in handy box and this is what I came up with. At least it will be different from all those Metcalfe kits that seem to be everywhere you look.

Nice one, Di.
Is it a kit or scratchbuild?
I assume Ivy lives there ;)

I suppose you can call it scratch built as it is made up from bits and pieces from the come in handy box, some down loaded textured sheets and some scrap Balsa.

No not Ivy it's Wisteria. :)

Hello Di,

Very nice and very realistic. I'm a landscape/maintenance gardener by trade. We have a Wisteria on the whole of the front of our house and I can't get it to flower as I can't be bothered to prune it until it hits the Sky dish. Usually that's the wrong time of year.

Are you going to attempt the flowers?

Anyway, looking good.

Cheers weave  :beers:

I discovered today how easy it is to shoot ones self in the foot, I was scratching my head as to why none of my sections set up for later computer control were working, I was  thinking I might have a duff detector module and seriously considering stripping it out and sending it back and doing a temporary rewire, but I thought I would go back thru the documentation on line again and guess what although there is no exact instructions for fitting a s88/s88n adaptor I found a picture of one fitted to another controller not a ECoS and it was the other way up to the way I had mine, so I turned mine over and guess what it all works. :dunce:

I generally find 'tis better to draw your pistol before firing it ;)

I have made a start on anglicizing Kato platforms for Toothill, this section only needs a few touches with the paint brush to complete  there are 7 more sections to do. I think it is looking a lot better than the plain grey as supplied.

Another good job, Di.... looks English enough to my eyes. Sort of SR feel to the platform.

For those not familiar with Kato products here is a before and after shot of a platform end kit.
