Work has started on the left hand base board today, the ground works have been marked out , the crossed hatch areas are to be excavated and made into a 2% down grade, the arrowed area to be built up to give a 2% incline.

Both boards test fitted together  ,the head shunt for the goods area now needs laying then I have to flip the boards over and start to wire everything up ( accessory decoders, track occupancy detectors and the power feeds.)

For Heaven's sake, Di, slow down!! I can't keep up.  You've made more progress in 2 months than I have in 5 years...

I enjoy reading about your layouts and I'm looking forward to following this one.

Cheers,

Chris

The right hand baseboard is now wired complete with a temporary connection to the ECoS for programming and testing. I have realised I will need another 4088 occupancy detector before I can get down to computer control/automation, I never seem to get my system requirements right first time around, I always end up ordering more track/wire/switches etc.

I have set up the mimic panel on the ECoS, I am not sure I like the way the double X over shows up.

Sorted the Xover on the mimic.

A minor set back today, I tried running on the right hand board, I found a couple of problems :-
I have not allowed enough clearance between the branch incline and the main decline so it will be out with the electric hot knife and a little sculpting to get things spot on.
1 of my home made power connectors will need replacing.
