Toothill 2 has now been fully tested (I made the same Boo-Boo with the MPD double slip X the frog wiring), I can now get down to some serious train (playing) operations before starting on the scenics.

The first ballast has been laid, it was a trial of ballasting across a baseboard joint without sticking both of them together and not leaving a large visable gap.

Great videos, thanks!

 :thankyousign:

For baseboard gaps/ballasting Iíd tried trapping baking parchment between the boards then matching the sand each side so it didnít fracture when separated. Using a lamp to look at the shadow each side helps avoid having more one side than the other. Page 4 of this I think...

I have been working on the Industrial end of Toothill 2, I have combined 2 Pikestuff kits to make Toothill Farm supplies and rescued American Hardware from the storage area as it was built for Toothill 1 and never used.
I only have the 6 road round house/engine shed kits left in my stock pile to build then it will be finishing the ballasting, doing the back boards and landscaping.

After much fiddling with spring, hinges, and levers I have got the doors of the round house to open and shut as Locos enter and leave their stalls it is a bit of a novelty but it amuses me.

I have completed the Roundhouse build and it needs a bit of fine tuning the springs are a little to strong and I need to slightly reposition the track to centre it up correctly in the bays for reliable operation.

I have tweaked the track and the doors on the round house, the track is now OK, the doors still need a little more tweaking particularly stall 3.
