Di I saw that before, but now I'm thinking you need to paint it all silver then dirty it all up.

At the moment, it looks like a NASA launch site.

Just a thought.  :beers:

I didn't mean to be disrespectful for one nanosecond.

When I was in hospital recently my daughters sent me a Lego Saturn V model to build.

The white reminded me of that.

I am trying out a new manufacturer for US locos Arnold, This is the first one a Northern Pacific GE U28C, it is a good smooth runner nicely detailed the only fault I could find was that to remove the body to fit a DCC decoder you have to remove the couplings which in this case promptly disintegrated into a pile of pieces, luckily I have a spares box with a selection of micro-trains couplings to fit as spares. The one big advantage with the Arnold loco it uses standard 6 pin decoders infinitely cheaper than the normal US practice of replacement circuit boards. So all in all a good buy at 50 including P&P from eBay including a Liassdcc decoder, Rails of Sheffield have a selection of Arnold n scale US locos on sale for 49.50.

A nice looking engine Di. I have a couple of Arnold US loco's and they are both good runners. But can I please ask something? Would you be kind enough not to let us know about

I am running out of excuses as to why I should not buy another loco'.

Hello.

Fantastic modelling!
I just found out your new layout adventure.
I don't come out much from the American N section of this forum.
I know that you're modelling the UK outline but now have a phenomenal US layout and a massive collection too!
UK or US, you always show an extraordinary skill.
Thank you very much for sharing me the layout progress.
I haven't had a chance to read the whole tread yet but I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work!

Dats
Best regards with my annoying moving signature.

A quick video to show how well my Arnold GE U28C fitted with a cheap and cheerful Liasdcc chip runs at slow speeds.
