Sadly I do not live anywhere near the Swanage Railway or I would offer to get them for you both.  Have you tried phoning and/or emailing them directly?

Kind regards

I have sent an email, (eventually found the address), so will let people know what their reply is.

Mark at www.thewagonyard.co.uk has sent me a couple of emails regarding previously owned Limited Edition wagons. They are listed on the website.

Incidentally, I have just received two, (I know - greedy  ;)), of the 'Hailsham Water Works' wagons which are a 'wagonyard' Dapol limited edition and very nice looking they are too, having a white body and grey roof.

Hi David,

Let us know what you think of the Hailsham van when it arrives.  Not overly impressed by the printing in the photo.

Kind regards

Okay, who has forgotten his glasses?  ;)

My remarks were made after a quick look at the wagons, (had to get them into the stock drawers before SWMBO got home   :-X.). I will scrutinise the printing within an inch of its life and take a photo' tomorrow and report back.

@Paddy

Morning Paddy, two pictures of the wagon. I have not corrected the photographs, so the lighting has affected the colour of the van, it is white with a grey roof -

this second one is a close up, which I have cropped to show some of the printing -

The printing, certainly at normal viewing distances, is quite crisp and is typical of a Dapol print. Even though the printing is distorted a bit as it goes over the wagon 'rib', it still looks fine to me and I am pleased with the wagons.

Thanks David.  The printing on the wagon seems like an exact copy of the logo on an earthenware bottle from the company.  Can’t decide if it laziness or very clever from Dapol. 😀

Swanage wagon arrived from shop after sending letter.
Guagemaster have just listed several 7pank commissions, Medway Queen have 2 GPVs as tool vans. Simply Southern have a GPV in Gasson, tent makers livery -very attractive livery -features in Private Owners OF SE. The wagon yard have listed several used items. N Guage Today have published an article on private owner wagons.

Simply Southern's GPV is in "Battle Gunpowder Mills" livery …. the tent makers van is a PECO 12T ventilated one from The Wagon Yard "Henry John Casson"….
2 more PECO 14T tankers and a 12T van from Commercial Brit-Line in Spanish liveries (via Zaratren) …. expect several traders to have ltd editions commissioned for TINGS next

Must be a coincidence! I received an email from the Swanage Railway about an hour ago, spoke to a very nice lady called Vicky and one wagon duly ordered.   :)

I got an e-mail from Vicki too!
Unfortunately it came over a month too late as  a Facebook Forum contact had already acquired one for me and sent it on!
Ah, the difficulties of collecting from the other side of France!

Hi Chas,

That is an amazing collection - never really realised there were so many N gauge wagons.  I did see you have three Minitrix White & Black whisky wagons, where on earth did you find those?

Kind regards
