Help with identifying passenger coaches sought
« on: September 08, 2019, 02:41:01 PM »
I have this pair of 4-wheel passenger coaches acquired unboxed; they are utterly devoid of both any kind of manufacturer name or any kind of vehicle numbering.

I'm assuming they're German as I acquired them at the same time as a bunch of other German coaches, but they might be from somewhere else.

Hi, railsquid, these are clearly the old Minitrix Bavarian branch line coaches.

Edit: These date back to the beginning of the electric Minitrix N-scale in 1964; the earliest versions still had couplings similar to H0 models. From about 1965 outfitted with Arnold Rapido couplers.
With more elaborate livery and lettering they were offered until the mid-90s!

Excellent, many thanks!

I have aqcuired a small hoard of mainly 4- and 6-wheeled German passenger coaches either unboxed or quite often boxed but not in the ones they came in, so am slowly going through and identifying them.
