Welcome in Rab

Probably best if you start your own thread in this section just to say hello, and maybe tell us a bit about yourself such as what you're modelling or planning to model, etc

Hello Rab,

Welcome to the forum.
We are a friendly bunch who are happy to help and answer questions.
I like your start with the Deltic Prototype.  I hope you like taking pictures and videos as we like to see what's happening on layouts and their progress, but all in good time.

cheers John.

Hi one and all. Having been on this site as a guest for the past few days, I decided to join what I think is a very good, helpful and humorous site. Looking forward to not only posing questions but contributing also.
Briefly, my layout is set in the BR period 1955 - 1965, of no actual location and has taken me so far 14 months worth of Saturdays to get it where it is. More on this later but, for now just a simple "Hi" to everyone.

Hello Gogs,

Welcome aboard, you will find there are many members who can only spend a limited amount of time on their layouts so you will not be alone in that respect.

Please enjoy your time here and get to know us as we try to be a happy easy going lot who are eager to help out when problems arise.

cheers John.

Hi Guys, thanks for the welcome. Not being an I.T expert the uploading of pictures of my layout will have to wait until such times that my grandson is available to show me how. I'm afraid that technology is leaving me behind, in fact I've struggled ever since Version 2 of the abacus came out.

 :hellosign:

I hope this is the right place to say hello, having just joined the forum.  I've been meaning to sign up for a while but only just got around to it.  Anyway, Hi, my name's John.

Having had a quick look around I see a few familiar names/faces from other forums and there are lots of interesting discussions I'm itching to join.

Over the last couple of years I've been building a small N-gauge layout set in Warwickshire in the early to mid 1960s.  But I'm sure there's a "my layout" section  where I can tell you more about that.

Hello John, and welcome aboard
Sounds like you're beyond the Layout Planning bit so probably best post in the Layout Construction board. Given the period you are modelling, have you got as far as blue diesels or still green/steam?
I hope you enjoy your stay with us
