Ratio Coaling Tower kit 247
« on: August 19, 2018, 12:30:01 PM »
I am thinking of building a small running-in layout involving an engine shed with coaling and watering areas on show.
Does anyone on the forum have a model of the Ratio Coaling Tower and if so could you let me know the distance between centres of the tracks for the loading wagons and loco lines.

I've not got the layout built but have assembled the coaling tower kit if sitting it next to a ruler for a photo would help?

If I've not managed to upload the photo tonight for you please pm me to remind me!

Here's some pics of it on Claywell, makes up into a nice model, I've had a measure up and it's 37mm between centres on Claywell.

Original install

Then I reversed the tower so the coal was dispensed on the track nearest the shed

And a close up

Many thanks for the photos and information.
37mm seems to be the figure I need to fix the track centres.
