Very good modelling, no doubt. Maybe it's just how I see it, but your photos always give me the impression that the ballast is over-sized and looks too clean and new. I guess you don't bother weathering it? Are your rail sides painted?

Hi Springwood, cheers for the feedback. No I haven't weathered the ballast or painted the rails as yet, something I will probably do in the future...the layout is still very much incomplete...
I've been mainly trying to concentrate on the scenics to get that finished, especially the area around the football ground, although it's all gone on the back burner at the moment & me loosing my mojo due to a family bereavement...
As for the ballast being oversized...it was N gauge fine grey ballast I think woodlands scenics I used, I'm pretty happy how it looks, too late to change it now anyway without ripping it all up  :uneasy: :hmmm:

Yes indeed. Very sorry about the family bereavement. I had one of those a few years ago and, understandably, many things take a back seat. Hope you mend soon.
