I have read some of the book and found the section on the origins of English Electric quite interesting, especially as I found out that one of the founding companies was in my home town of Bradford! I have a couple of Class 08's and Deltics and it is nice to know what happened to the engines. As Joe said, "a good read".

A copy turned up in my local newsagent. I flipped through it and thought it was worth it for the pics alone.

I'm currently about halfway through it. A great reference resource and interesting history.  :thumbsup:
