I made these 3D cranes for Salmons and they were also used on Sturgeons

https://www.shapeways.com/product/38YVCA6W9/crane-for-salmon-track-carrying-wagons-in-n-gauge?optionId=65034401&li=shops

Do you know which period these cranes were used? Were they used in the black period, for example?
Bob

From the photos I have seen these ones late Dutch onward.  These were the first type used, a later version had the generator mounted on one of the cranes.

As I think more and more about these I realise I'd like one in BR black with NO doors. I have three in BR black WITH doors. I wonder if anyone would be interested in a straight swap, one with doors for one without doors?

[Mods: If this is something I should put elsewhere, please advise]

My order is still showing as 'Processing' even though the final payment was made a few, (3?), weeks ago. I am in no way complaining though, just thought I would mention it for the benefit of others who are still waiting.  :)

Just for the information of any one still waiting - my Sturgeon has just arrived.  :claphappy:. Typical 'Revolution' - it looks excellent. Thanks to all involved in bringing this model to fruition.
David.

Hello all you Sturgeon owners out there.
This is a thought at the moment. I'm not sure what I want to achieve yet, but...

I have a triple pack in black with doors coming.
In hindsight I'd like one (or two) wagons to be door-less in black (or one possibly gulf red) so I can model a FiNetrax wagon load.
If anyone has ordered too many door-less black wagons and wants one with doors I would consider a direct swap of one BNIB wagon for another.
That's a good deal considering the price they will be in the shops, if you want one with doors.

Please PM me with your thoughts. No commitment at this time - no wagons at this time :)
I live near Melton Mowbray if you live locally, want to avoid postage, and have too many door-less ones...or can make me a wagon load of FiNetrax track panels (@ExmouthCraig)

Bob

My triple pack has arrived, and they are absolutely fabulous. But I'd like to do the stacked FiNetrax load on one of them, so if anyone doesn't want their Sturgeon without doors, or wants to swap for one with doors, still happy to help.

I think revolutioN could sell 3 times the amount of doorless compared to doored.

I too am glad I bought both types, is this one of the rare items that the lesser model turns out to be the best one????

It was a financial decision to only get the three pack I'm afraid.

Actually I asked first, on this thread, by a couple of hours, but I'm not going to fight over it.

Wasn't aware we were fighting over it my friend.

'Twas merely a comment.

If you both hang on a couple of weeks, they will be on eBay, marked as 'rare'.  :D

I'm locking mine away for investment purposes :)
I'm sure we will come to an amicable arrangement of me getting mine first (tongue in cheek in case the emoji is not enough!)     :heart2:   :hmmm:  ;)
