Oh Dear,

Why do I feel I have to brace myself before reading Forum messages these days? They seem less than helpful.

I don't care about MDS-Modells Ge4/4II's. I've plenty of Kato ones that have yet to turn a wheel on their native layout because I have just, literally, put the last screws into the initial baseboards.

If the curtain wall wagons don't arrive until Christmas so be it, I have other, more interesting, things to do.

Now please let me get back to something that interests me. >:(

Mike Beard.

BTW -

Is there an area of the Forum for Kato tracked modular layouts anywhere? I can't find one but given the way the RhB in 1:150th thread has been split finely there must be one somewhere.

Just post it here, someone will inform someone else and it will get moved to the right place in no time   ;)

Ok, we are now 30 days later, who got their MDS Modell Ge 4/4 II yet ? Anyone received a sound equipped model yet ? Any good ? Anyone received some freight cars yet ?

Both main selling agents, Menzels Lokshuppen and Modellbahn Kramm are still showing only as reservable orders.

I have held back any order due to the uncertainties in the actual release date, and shall now wait until such time as they are actually in stock.

I'm in no hurry as I have a good few years left in me yet. I hope. :D

In the meantime I'm planning a possible autumn trip to GraubŁnden to celebrate a major wedding anniversary, where I can lay my hands on the real thing. Health allowing of course.

MDS-Modell are still showing 30 days. It's going worse than even I thought. Hornby at its worst? Well no, because if the painted prototypes are anything to go by they will have a certain WoW factor to them but I think it's a snails race between these and the Kato GE Add-On scheduled for end of May 2018. :unimpressed:

Sorry about that,

Mike Beard.

Are these pictures taken by professional photographers who do not actually know what they are taking pictures of or by people who simply don't give a rat's bottom ?   ;)

It's not unusual to have the odd wheel off in a photograph, or occasionally on the real thing even.

The trouble is that even their staunchest supporter must be wondering if there is the small possibility that MDS-Modell itself might be derailed somewhere.  Lack of information gives rise to gossip.

We shall see.

Mike Beard

Anyway they got two out of three on stupendosly well, What do you want? Perfection??
