I vowed not to get one Mick, but TIm brought his round and instantly won over. I got the birdcages cheap and sold some bits to pay for the sound chip in it. I am tempted by the sunshine black one now. 👍
A new layout Geominster Mainline & Heritage Line has been created after moving home and not being able to accomodate the old layout.

This then is my third version which is vastly improved from previous efforts.

Geominster was my first project which has now been dismantled.

Having learnt so much from  previous Geominster projects this is the latest one.

Not that I'm trying to spend your money but I'd be tempted by the Terrier in the same livery to go alongside it ;)

The Terriers are bit tiny for me Mick and DCC has to be hard wired, I did have a couple but sold them on a while back.

Here is a video of Geominster taken earlier which shows all four tracks running together for the first time, plenty of scenic work to do and of course the tools etc need clearing away.

Well sadly it is time to move house, the move last year to the Cotswolds was not a great idea especially as the family are all back in Berkshire.
The long wet winter interrupted the train to return and visit family and when Coronavirus kicked off we were isolated and marooned.

So we have sold the house and currently buying another, the layout will be dismantled but mostly will fit the new house.

The exception being Nelevator which is now up for sale.

If anyone is interested or wants more details please PM me, and for those who know nothing about Nelevator here is a link to their website. It has been a good piece of kit but sadly will not fit in the new alocated rail room.

If this update with a link causes offence then let me know and I will delete it.

I'm so sorry your move to the Cotswolds didn't work out.  I loved my years there, although I eventually had to move on. Mind you, I was twenty five then.  I'm not sure that at my age, fifty years later, it would be such a good idea.  The concept of the Nelevator is curiously clever, although I don't think it would suit my requirements.

Best wishes for your move and I hope to hear about Geominster again in the the future.
With kind regards
Laurence

Thank you Lawrence, maybe 50 years ago it would have been a better move for us.

An update, Geominster is now dismantled and ready to transport to the new house shortly, a little damage but I am going to take the opportunity while refitting it in the new location to update the wiring access to along the front odge of the layout for simplicity in wiring and troubleshooting. Thanks to Tim for his hard work and encouragement during the dismantling and moving it all downstairs.
