This seems to have been filmed about 7 years ago. If you ever wonder if you have enough freight wagons then look no further than this. And if you want an excuse to buy a few more locos, then think of two, three, or even four in tandem! And maybe another one at the back!

Wonderfully put together HD video, with shots well edited to bring the full flavour of this major rail line through the Alps from Brig in the Rhone valley to the capital of Switzerland. The effort expended to put this together must have been tremendous, as we see the trains from so many different viewpoints, from driver's eye to myriad locations close to the line. No commentary provided or necessary, minimal irritating musack, but mainly just the wonderful sounds of wheels on rails and whistling electric locos, with locations (bridges, stations, galleries etc) all identified on screen.
The journey is on the original Lötschberg line, with shots of the northern portal of the new Lötschberg Base Tunnel at around the 30 minute point.

Take on hour out to relish the beautiful journey.
