Cement Truck

What do you think @Cooper?

I am only using my hand, but I fear the motion may be too jerky with the flexible drive approach.  We'll see!

Cheers. Jon  :)

Is it the drive shaft, or the bearing surfaces of the mixer? Looks a neat job, whichever needs tweaking!

Here it is on a jury rig to the motor:

I am quite pleased with that!  The only thing is that the motor is running on much less than 12v so need to think about the supply.  Voltage regulator or a big resistor?

What do you think @Cooper ?  Where do you want to stick it?  :worried:

Cheers Jon  :)

By the way, in the old days YouTube links appeared as a thumbnail, now just as a link.  Anyone know how to get them to display as they once did?

That looks brilliant! Whatever fits under the layout works for me. Callum has some small motors out of a camera he is willing to donate but Im not sure of their voltage/speed properties.

Some cosmetic work to Anglicise it and disguise the join:

I made up some transfers using PowerPoint and Crafty paper.  With my printer they come out OK but are fragile, so bits of ink tend to fall off when you are jiggling them into shape.  Good enough for vehicles that are likely to a look a bit battered anyway!

Ready to instal on the layout

Happy New Year  :o

Jon, that looks great. It will need some weathering around the underframe and decision of where it needs to go! Cant wait to see it on Horseblock Lane. What a shame we arent exhibiting it before 2019!
