Hi
Well a bit further forward I guess, just waiting for metal to be cut  if enough folk join in the GA cad looks good the devil will be in the technical fun in articulation and getting a decent power source and quiet motor and gear train - Kato quiet like the 68 ,pendo models and the latest farish mechs . A black hole for money for a bit ... but it is a hobby and well worth the wait for when it comes.

The implication has been one powered coach on all of them, but I’m sure the 14-car at least must have two, which would mean 4 decoders, bit of a pain.

Still sorely tempted by a 7 or 10, but want things to settle down a bit with other projects, reluctant to crowdfund frankly.

None of them are half sets, they’ve all got two DTSO(?)s, so I’d guess a 7 will be one motor coach, and six passenger coaches as you say. Logically a 10 would be two motor cars and 8 passenger vehicles, as it was before IIRC.

According to the original flyer, the 7-car set would feature 2 power cars (1 motorised and 1 dummy).

I believe the formation is based on this photo of the prototype.

However this info was based on the original spec so I do not know if things have changed since.
Well, that's just not good enough. Some fount of all knowledge you are!   ;)

I just discovered that my order was cancelled without notice. What a way to treat customers who applied for a few sets to make it more viable and get the project going.

Guess I'll have to get in new orders as it will look nice next to 5 321's and 5 pendolino's.

The initial orders were all cancelled due to level of interest for complete sets.  The new orders are for a combination of part sets that can make up a full set or a subset, and these sets were not directly convertible from the first set of orders.  Dave covered this at some length at the time.

Virtually all done on RMWeb to be fair, I never ordered one, but I presumed he was very clear to all backers what was going on. Sounds like that maybe wasn’t the case.

There’s also been his new website, with orders not migrating, so I’d not take it personally. Just one of those things.
