No, it's all cool, Roger. The post prompted me to contact WIRES. (NSW Wildfife Information Rescue and Education  Service). They seem to think it's a possom.

Anyway, an inspection by myself this morning failed to reveal a fanged creature.

All good, mate!
That's a relief! Sorry to have got you worried.

Looks like a cracker of a layout, glad you have been convinced to restore it.... maybe it is those Gremlins again that are leaving a calling card!

see enough of it round my place, loved the humour your intruder has generated George, at least they have not done too much damage.

Just to prove I got something moving the other day, here's a (not very good) video of the Class 55 running light and wrong line on the Castle Eden branch.

Unfortunately it also shows the mess I have to clean up in the station.  :beers:

Just thinking there might be a bit more mess therewhen I saw tgat Deltic rushing towards the bufferstops!
If it looks right then it most probably is right.

The control panel is currently propped up by paint tins under the layout, so I couldn't work me phone and it at the same time.

The layout might be a DC Dino, but has multiple isolating sections.... the end of the line there being one of them.  :beers:

Hi,

Read Martin's comment before I saw the vid and thought we'd (no pun) gone back to discussing wildlife messages.

See what he means now.

Did a play/pause etc. and think it looks very saveable. I like it. It's rustic and you've got it running.

Cheers weave  :beers:

Thanks! All these nice comments are making me feel like I'm obligated to restore it!

Now who's gonna come and get me out from under the layout when I can't get up  :hmmm: :D

This looks great, George.  I hope the restoration proves relatively straightforward and I look forward to seeing much more of this fabulous layout.   :thankyousign:

I think there's a lot to be said for a DC Dino!  I feel I understand what's happening with DC.  My ex-boss used to call me Captain Analogue which I took as a compliment...

With all best wishes. :beers:

To be called pompous and arrogant - hell of a come down.
I tried so hard to be snobbish and haughty.

Just watched the video - and realised that I remember the RM articles quite clearly.  One or two of them I preserved for quite a while for inspiration.

I seem to remember you did a piece on pipes going into a pond, water represented by black gloss paint......am I on track?

Cheers Jon  :)
