Would probably be simpler to drill a 0.8mm hole through it.
I'll look into it when I eventually get them.

I'm dubious the handles will print although if they do it'll be rather nice.

For the lens area I'd be inclined not to try and make it hollow but to put a small dimple in the centre of the back in the right spot to drill to whatever is needed. That'll keep it stronger while being printed and allow for various different sized holes for LEDs or fibre-optics.

could they be made with an additional 1:1 handle, this could be a short bit of sprue to aid placement and to be removed after installation

Wow, those lamps really look the business!

Shapeways is usually really good with their packaging but I seem to find all that foam goes everywhere! In your last picture it looks like there is something else in the bag with the lamps, what is it?

That's just the way the bag looks.

For a box with a handle it came out alright. considering the size of it.
I have put them up for sale if anyone is interested: http://www.shapeways.com/model/478154/n_gauge_mk3_lamps_0_1.html

Hi Stew,

Dunno if it's because I am dense, but it looks like I can only pay in dollars or euros.
Do you accept Paypal and, if so, what's the sterling equivalent please?

Shapeways uses paypal for payment so it converts to pounds in the end.

It is a Shapeways payment, and yes they do accept Paypal.

The exchange rate will be at the time of transaction. At the moment, the USD exchange rate is slightly better than 1.5:1

Hope this helps.
