Hi all,

I was at Peak Forest a few weeks ago and there were some HTA wagons passing below the bridge.  They were certainly no more than 2/3 full - in fact I'd say nearer half full!

Cheers

Ben A.

Hi folks

Just a quick update on the expressions of interest in the HOA.  The response has been absolutely fantastic - thank you to all of you that have expressed interest in this wagon.

As things stand we will definitely be confident in starting design and tooling.

In terms of livery options we offered the possibility of a single wagon and two different triple packs all with different numbers (if the numbers stacked up to do different numbers).  I'm pleased to say that we will definitely be able to do two different triple packs in EWS Construction and almost certainly enough interest to do the same in Cemex, DB red and VTG Mendip Rail. So the only livery we might not be able to do two different triple packs in (at the moment) is Ermewa Tarmac (and even that is possible).

The deadline for expressions of interest is 31 January 2017 - please remember this does not commit you financially (but please be realistic!).

Cheers, Mike

That is really good news Mike. Looking forward to the Tarmac Ermewa and VTG Mendip Rail. The Mendip Rail orange/green/silver colour combination on a Class 59 is probably my all time favourite locomotive livery, sadly a one off IIRC carried only by 59002 "Alan J Day".

Hi Mike,

Is it too late to ask if unbranded CEMEX could be considered as an a option?

Not the end of the world if not as it looks like a simple repaint.

Best regards

Iain

Hi Iain

I'll talk to Ben about doing some unbranded Cemex ones - it shouldn't be a problem in theory (though I don't want to confuse things by amending the expressions of interest form!).

Cheers, Mike

Thanks Mike,

The process to unbrand appears to leave irregular paint patches so it may be just as simple to buy branded and remove the logos.   I'll buy whichever is made available and adjust as necessary.

Best regards

Iain

Hi folks

Just a quick final reminder that expressions of interest close tomorrow (31 January).

As mentioned previously, interest to date has been fantastic and the project will be going ahead, but it is always useful to see which liveries people are most interested in as it allows us to make decisions on the number of livery options we can offer.  Expressions of interest come with no financial commitment but we really do appreciate the information.

Hi Mike & Ben,

Any update on the HOA development?

I presume the focus is on the Pendolinos at the moment, but would be great to see how these are coming along.

All the best

Iain

Hello Iain,

Apologies, I have only just seen your post.  We are expecting the CADs very soon, and of course will post images as soon as we do for comment and feedback.

Cheers

Hello all,

We have received CADs for the forthcoming HOA hopper.

This image shows the "as built" version for EWS Contstruction.  Some were very quickly given Cemex colours, and some now are in DB red.  We are planning to offer all these livery variations, subject to sufficient orders being received.

As can be seen the models will be to a similar standard as our TEA tankers (Model of the Year winners) and will feature NEM couplers and NMRA weighting for smooth running and great track-holding.  We are also producing two different bodysides - the original with 4 strengthening fillets, and the VTG with six, and also offering both body-mounted and bogie-mounted parking brake wheel variants.

See our website www.revolutiontrains.com for more images and information.   We will be opening the order book very soon for these models.

Cheers

Ben A.

These CADs look brilliant. Even in this form it has the presence of the full size wagon.
