  Hi there Monttrak.
You mean elsewhere on this forum?
I've been posting here only. I posted a picture or two on Weathering section a long time ago but this thread is the only one I've been keeping up with.
For different forums, as you know that I was participating on MRH forum but they stop replying me back when I introduced a Biosolid facility.  :smiley-laughing:
So I'm hibernating on the forum. :foodanddrink:

Hi Rich.
Yeah, I think I'm applying it too much....I think.
After spraying, the surface is pretty wet.
I'll try to spray it from really far away next time.  ???

You can spray it from England, if you like Dats!

Ok that's a great plan Captain Andy.
Spray dull coat West south west tomorrow noon from your shed.
I'll hold the Covered hopper East north east at 5 pm US eastern standard time.
It should work.  8)

Actually Dats, we've got Storm Dennis coming from the west over the next five days.

You're gonna need a bigger spray can!

Storm Dennis? Oh no.  :'(

I don't have a new pair of truck so here comes swapping.
This mini covered hopper lost its trucks.

Now the graffiti hopper is in service.

Probably this car will be the only one that has graffiti on my layout.
I just wanted to try out some homemade decals.

For the extension, I'm still thinking about the track plan.
Plus, I ran out of tracks and cork roadbeds.
Modelling materials are getting expensive. I might scavenge some used stuff from my Brother-in-low.
I'll start to negotiate the deal with him soon.
I'm planning to use the tried-and-true "little kids" method for the negotiation.
I'll keep saying the same thing over and over and over.
Eventually he'll get annoyed and give it to me.
The spray can project with the Captain Andy failed but I'm sure that this time would be successful.

 :dunce: Hello?

What would you do if you don't have any hobby budget?
Would you cry in the bathroom or eat junk food excessively?
Yes and yes.
But also you scavenge everything available.

Introducing the Scavenge switches project! :heart2:
I have some used Atlas code80 switches that I scavenged from my brother-in-Low. (And I'm negotiating with him for more modelling stuff.)
I cost me whopping $0.00.
It has a bulky switch mechanism and works fantastically. Especially when you don't have a space side of the track, it would fit wonderfully.
But this time I wanted try to make the switch a little bit more fancy.
The original switch looks like this.

When you remove the mechanism, it looks like this.
(I forgot to take a picture of the actual switch that I was working on but these are identical Atals switches.)
One side of ties (sleepers) are missing.
It's not pretty.

I added small piece of ties, it's getting closer look to Atlas custom line switch.
I also modified the end of switche ties.
When you use super glue, you can use a left over paper from stickers or adhesive labels. (Waxed surfaced looking paper.)
So that the model wouldn't stick to the surface.
You can see that I'm gluing the model on a waxy paper.

I soldered jump wires for reliability.
(I don't know it makes any improvements though. At least I feel better that way.)
I don't have a needle tip soldering iron so it was difficult and melted a little tie.

Just buy Atlas Custom line switches?
Well, I can't buy it with my budget of $0.00.
Besides, that's what the Low-Tech scavenger would do. :help:  :smiley-laughing:
The switch is going to be one of the new extension trackage.  :claphappy:
One step closer to the actual extension building stage and I'm a happy camper so far.
