Simon Bradley: The Railways - Nation, Network and People
« on: December 26, 2015, 10:54:08 PM »
My wife got me this book for Christmas

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Railways-Nation-Network-People/dp/1846682096/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1451169916&sr=1-1&keywords=simon+bradley+railways

What a lovely present!   :bounce:

Even if you don't like railways [and if you don't, why are you here?] this social history is so far giving details of travelling as a Victorian train passenger that really make the experience (often uncomfortable in so many ways) come alive. The man is an enthusiast.

And another 480 pages to go.  :claphappy:
