Can I ask where you got the A30 from, Ian?
My parents had one and I remember 9 of us + a labrador dog in it once!
I'd love one on my layout :heart2:

I've thrown away the original packaging but, judging by other models awaiting construction, I think it was from J Parker 19, Oaklands, Malvern Wells, Worcs., WR14 4JE.

It's been some months since I posted pictures of Withiel:

I've been working on this layout for about 18 months and the next step is to complete the hill section and churchyard.

Progress is relatively slow but I enjoy it and that's what matters for me.  Looking forward to the arrival of the Dapol Westerns and Baby Warships.

Very nice, Ian. We have spoken on the forum about 'atmosphere' and you have captured it

Not much progress to report for the past 6 months.  That's the trouble with being retired there's just not enough time  ;)

Love the scene above the tunnel mouths, is the house for sale? Wouldn't mind living there.

I know that feeling well, I often sit at the end of the day and wonder where the time went with very little to show for it  :D

You have a very good looking layout which gives a feeling of a peaceful, meandering countryside

Thank you for posting your pictures  ;)

cheers John.

That gantry looks good.
I made some P&D marsh signals several years ago but now want to replace them.
Your layout looks really nice. Well done.

If it looks right then it most probably is right.

Struth :worried: That last picture looked so real I had to really look hard before I believed it to be N gauge. Congratulations on all the fantastic work so far

There has been discussion elsewhere on this forum on cameras picking up details that the eye does not see (or ignores).  The camera can also deceive, as perhaps in this case, where taking the photo a few inches further back would have shown the wooden wall of the shed (or sauna as Newport Nobby once suggested!).

Thank you for your kind comments

Was it an off-the-shelf shed?

Heck of a shelf if it was :)

I'll get my coat

Cheers

A full year since I last updated this thread - don't know where the time has gone!

I've added a wedding party - bought at TINGS,  Need to few more guests and a photographer, when I can find one.

Added a few figures to the yard, including one reading his paper while the others work
