Minitrix Deutsche Bahn BR89
« on: October 24, 2014, 12:05:00 PM »
I recently found a very nice example of the Minitrix N scale Deutsche Bahn BR89 on eBay, I actually am a big Minitrix fan but did not know they ever made one. Here it is beside the much loved Z scale Marklin BR89 showing the scale comparison very nicely. Minitrix arrived yesterday afternoon. Looks very, very nice!!! I hope it runs as nicely as it looks. Will know when I get to work in a bit. I will likely put a few tiny dots of oil on the gears and thin coating of oil on the very detailed valve gear. If I see any hesitation Iíll put a bit of Conductalube on the back face of the wheels. I did this a couple of days ago to my Sir Nigel Gresley with very beneficial results.

I think it is based on the trusty Minitrix Dock Tank:

John Heath agrees with me, the Minitrix master in my book :)
