Probably never, but at 11.50 then I thought a pre-order was worth a punt.
No payment details have been given so no payment will be taken if anything changes.

I had a call from Rails, the delivery is due in soon but they aren't going to honour the price they had on their website. Not 100% surprised there.......

The price did look like it was just a typing error but what can ya do.

If they are due in soon I may have to get the savings account ready for a purchase haha........

Sorry but if rails advertised it for 11.50 they have to sell it for that price, if you paid 11.50 thats all you pay they cant up it after that as far as im lead to believe

They said that as it was clearly a mistake they wouldn't honour it.

No they don't. It's not a contract but an invitation to treat.

We are worrying about the price yet have we even seen a pre-production one of these from Dapol yet? What was they said a few years ago. "We dont announce stuff years before it comes out", well the 142 has already broken that!

Yeah, one of these in merseyrail colours would look great on my layout, but I bet we'll see a 507 from a manufacturer before this :P

Well,as my layout is BR blue to sectorisation,a couple would be a useful addition on my layout so a couple in Regional Railways livery would be very nice indeed.

I am curious though,as to how the bogie/underframe design is going to be depicted in order to be able to run on tight radius corners as used in model railways.

I had seen the CAD pictures on Dapol's website last year and even though these showed the twin axle design,I understand there will be a twin axle, twin bogie setup hidden underneath the dummy underframe design. Can someone confirm/deny this is the case,as I think that before I commit to buying one,or two,I need to know whether one will run on my layout?

Used to see these everyday but can't even remember the early provincial livery, is it this one?

Still prefer the 141's.

I have almost given up on the 142 ever being released, as a result I have now spent the money that I had set aside for one.  ;D
