AFAIK its been delayed until next year.

Don't even go there as to wondering why!!!!!

Might be due to the 'secret stuff' they've been developing!!!!!

Regards

Neal.

I know before you say it, necromancy O.o haha

Just wondering how many people out there are looking forward to this model, I myself cannot wait, a child hood memory was riding on these just about every day and it would be a welcome addition to my new layout, based in the era of regional railway. (plans to come later)

In this part of the world they ruddy things are still running. If you'd like to remove your childhood happy memory I believe if you get the right train you can ride one from Cardiff to Exeter. That should cure you 8)

Hmmm I may have to come that way some time. going to doncaster show on saturday and apparently they still on the odd service from Hull, I wouldnt mind a journey on one from there, plus it would frustrate the guys im off with. (donny model railway show)

As for the model it should be a good one and if I like the dapol modelling I may get one of their 156 units.

anyone know if they are doing them in provincial livery? (the kind of sky blue earlier livery - before regional railways came on the scene)

Provincial is not one of their planned liveries for their first batch, its Regirail, northern rail, arriva, tyne and wyre PTE and northern spirit liveries first however (hopefully) in a second batch they will do the provincial as it is one of the two Id like, obvious which will be my first haha.

Hopefully theyll have some news on this product soon

Provincial requires different doors and the like.

I just hope it rides better than the original 8)

love them or hate them, they have been a part of the scene for 27 years, no mean feat for a cheapo stop gap and have spanned probably the biggest period of change the railways have seen since the 1923 grouping.

And yes, i will be having a couple, especially if a GMPTE version surfaces.
