Hi,

Does anyone have any idea on where I could get a replacement Insulated nut/spring housing for a minitrix A3 Or A4 ? Mine is completely shot beyond repair as its in 4 parts so it isn’t worth gluing .

The loco has had heat shrink glued in the past As an insulator by its previous owner however its this that’s holding the bogie in place as well so isn’t going to last very long.

It’s the red nut at the rear of the chassis underneath the circuit board that holds the contact spring and the rear bogie screws into it. Or if any one has one in their spares box I would happily purchase it off them and pay postage.

If mine was intact I’d try and get one 3D printed however that’s not the case as mentioned its not salvageable.

I'm not convinced that was a separate spare part, going by the service sheets.  I think it was part of the complete tender chassis assembly.

Your best bet probably is hoping someone's got one from a scrapper, or make up something yourself. just needs to be a bit of plastic with a threaded hole really.  I can't help, my Minitrixes with bogie tenders are all fully functional. I do have bits of scrapped 9f but that's a 6 wheel tender of course.

Can you post a picture of the part - I have a fair number of bits of Minitrix spares, so may have the parts.

Cheers,
Alan

Ok, if @Craigb302 can confirm, I'll have a look - I may have that.

If not, I have a complete tender that's had the top converted to a different prototype, but the chassis is all there, so could be a donor to strip.

Cheers,
Alan
