Hello all,

Very quick update on the Rapido flood:  Although there was some damage the main server was not damaged and they haven't lost any data, so no one who ordered outside the EU needs to worry.

Cheers

Ben A.

Obviously the 'piping of drinks to your seat' system has failed :)
Strange how so many new trains leak like a sieve :hmmm:

Showers are standard in standard class...  :D in fairness, this only happened once, on the very first run in service, and was a fault with the aircon on that train.

Cheers, Timmo

So train builders, like some model shops,  don't test them before delivery either??

I was on a Class 442 one day where there was an announcement that “The licensed spa is now open”  Actually there was a toilet which was producing a fountain of water.

I seem to recall another type of these new multi-coloured worms leaking on it's inaugural run - about 6 months or so ago? :hmmm:

The inaugural passenger run when the air con leaked was on 16th October last year. I'm not a huge fan of the 80x series trains but they had been running around without passengers for a few months before this with only minor teething faults.

The water will back up in to the system if you cover the drain valve with the vinyl covering.  :D

Aside from Rapido's upstairs neighbours having a leak where has all this leaking trains come from? Are the new Pendolinos coming with active water dripping inside? Or have I missed something?
Geominster was my first project which has now been dismantled.

Having learnt so much from Geominster this is the new project.

Photo on the previous page of a Hitachi 800 (not a Pendolino) with an ‘enthusiastic’ air conditioning unit.

We are hinting they do a Hitachi 800 next, with or without leaks.  :D
