Thanks for your latest video, Di. The Class 04s are very nice little locos. and I think BR Blue livery suits them particularly well.

I have acquired a S/H Dapol 9f Evening Star it came boxed but with no instruction sheet, and the Dapol site does not have one, I wish to fit a DCC decoder but have no idea how to remove the tender body to do so,having already found out how easily the cardon shaft pops out I need to know how it all comes apart before starting. Is the tender body a clip fit like most Diesel bodies or are there hidden screws/latches that need undoing?

By the way it does have its bag of bits and etched name plates that I believe go on the smoke deflectors.

Sorry, Di, but it has the same 'stripe' effect mine has and I'm none too impressed with mine, never having seen a steamer weathered like that in real life

One of the Dapol steamers has 4 tiny screws in the corners of the tender. I can't remember which one it is, but worth a look underneath.
The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.

Evening Star now has a chip fitted, it did need the coal load in the tender being reworked to fit my standard size chip, Evening Star runs very smoothly and quitely probably the best steamer I have.

Very eclectic selection, Di. Thanks for posting. I bet the drummer collapsed at the end of the video.

A very nice selection there.
Great stuff.
If it looks right then it most probably is right.
