I have my CoT and she looks brilliant!

No chance of a photo so far but will do tonight and post here and on Hurst Hill.

Just wanted to acknowledge safe and very happy receipt!  :claphappy:

Thanks, Gideon.

Dave G

So glad she finally got to you safely, Dave! :)

Just being nosey, how are you getting on with Martin Greenís locos?
The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.

Hi Malc, they're taking their time but they're getting there... just waiting on lining decals for an LBSCR 0-6-0 before I can complete it, and trying to get the finish right on a Southern 01 (I've not worked with resin cast models before - the casting on this particular one is awful, so I'm having to fill, primer, see how it looks, fill, primer, etc etc...)

I do owe him an update, though...!!

The LBSCR one has featured in the thread before, so I'm sure the 01 can join it! ;)

I'll get some pics - might not be tonight as I'm with my boys, but certainly tomorrow night! :)

Gideon's modesty stops him showing the results of his work on my CoT, so despite a possible blush or two, here she is:

A couple more photos on my layout thread.

Lovely job.

That is amazing work I wish I could afford another C o T and get you to do the same for me Snowwolflair has done a set of transfers for C o T and said he will put them on for me as there is no way my hands are steady enough ,but he is so busy with all his other projects that the transfers are still in the envelope waiting for his visit ,and itís not the version you have done .

I was immersed in the happy world of decals last night and have made some progress on the 27s and (another!) wartime Jube:

Then the workbench had to be cleared (temporarily!!) for some non-N Gauge business - planning a present I am making for my friend's son's birthday...:

Normal N Gauge service will be resumed shortly! :)

And a bit more progress...

A 33 Fragonset and a Dutch 25 start getting lined:

A close-up of the two stage lining going on the wartime Jube shows the intricacy of the process!:

More soon as they pass across the workbench! :)

It would be a pretty awesome thing if you teamed up with Colin Heard to offer the lined version of City of Truro when ordered from him.
