Scenecraft iteam 42-082 Derelict signal box
« on: May 31, 2014, 10:31:37 PM »
Hi Guys

This is a very nice iteam the only thing I'd say against it. It really needs a floor and danger signs on it but other Than that for 11 plus p&p I can't complain

I look forword to reading your thoughts

Thanks
Alan

I don't have this model but have admired it when I've seen it.

Pretty much every signal box still standing is some variation on a theme of "derelict" so I'd have thought any modeller doing a post-80s layout might like to use it.

It does need some details though to really finish it off. Ivy up the walls, graffiti, some rusty metal nearby, health and safety notices, etc. Maybe even a bit of weathering! With appropriate detailing it could be the basis for a really nice cameo in the corner of a layout, thick with ferns and shrubs, perhaps even a N-scale cat sunning itself on the ladder!

Cheers, NeMo
