American locos
« on: May 15, 2014, 07:19:34 PM »
Is there a list of American loco models with details of bogie wheelbase, wheel size and bogie centres.

I am looking for something with a 3 axle bogie with bogie wheelbase of 32.6mm and wheel size of 7.4mm

As far as I can see, none of the UK outline models match this.

Bob, I usually check out Spookshows pages for info on US N Scale. don't think he has the detail you need but may be worth dropping him an email  http://www.spookshow.net/trainstuff.html
I did have a look at the Tomix chassis  http://www.trainweb.org/tomix/ChassisDim.htm but there are no 3 axle units

Is this a particular loco you are working on?  just there are so many 3 axled truck locos in the US it would be useful to narrow it down a bit
