In my earlier days I used to sell parts such as clutches etc for AECs,  they became part of Leyland  in 1962 and continued to build AEC trucks until around 1979, bus production ceased about 10 years earlier.    The plant was then used to build the ill fated Leyland Marathon before being closed.

They were not to many AECs around after the late 80s, still one of my favourite trucks,  still gpt a lot of the part numbers for them in my head.   Cant remember what I did yesterday but a clutch servo for a Mandator, well 710583 of course.
