TORMOUTH - Next Stop - The Great Electric Train Show! - October 9th & 10th
« Reply #465 on: February 15, 2016, 11:49:34 AM »
Thanks to all who came and saw us over the weekend, we ironed out a couple of gremlins and I think as MAurits says above it performed pretty well....sorry to hear Callum (APA Park) had his wheels and bumper stolen from the Hotel Car Park :( , makes me glad we use the old banger for transport as I fear if I'd have been parked in that hotel with my own car it would have been missing a lot of parts too....

Due to one show changing dates to the TINGS weekend and another cancelling Tormouth is available for some extra shows between now and September so if you are arranging an exhibition and have had a cancellation and would like it at your show please do get in touch!  thanks again to @Maurits71  & @acko22 for their assistance!

Cheers Paul.

Just thought i'd let you know that Model Rail have published an article on my Layout in this months issue (April).  Well chuffed (pardon the pun!!) as its quite a large feature and I thought it was just going to be half a page or so!!

Nice to see the layout it Model Rail this month it looks excellent, would love to see it in the flesh so to speak. It is nice to see a layout off the forum especially when it looks so good, very interesting reading about it in the article.

Thanks for the kind comments guys.  As good as it looks now there were times when taking the hammer to it would have been an easier option!!!  The next show is currently Hornby's Great Electric Train Show in October but if anyone wants it before then give me a shout!

We have a plethora of bookings for 2017 so you may see it at a show near you!

Hi,

Picked up Model Rail in Tescos today (I haven't seen it in last week so I seem to be well behind the times!!) and very pleased to recognise Tormouth in it.  I'll have to read the article later but the pics look great.  Well done

I enjoyed reading the article - Tormouth was the only reason I bought the magazine. Interesting to see how it was accomplished using personal experience and sometimes bringing in skills from others to make a very high standard layout.
Working doesn't seem to be the perfect thing for me so I'll continue to play.

Hi Paul, it's the British Motor Museum, not the National Motor Museum :)

I'll be there, either as a visitor or working as a volunteer guide over in the Museum Collections Centre.  I'll try and say hi.

Administrator Comment Thanks I've corrected it
