Glad Kato is okay now, but sorry about your wallet! We had to take one of our cats to the Vet' a few weeks ago with what looked like some sort of discharge from her eye. The Vet' said the eyeball had ruptured for some reason.  :o. Whilst he was cleaning up, the lens actually came out! . So we now have a one eyed 17 year old cat! But she is lovely.
David.

The Skyline household sends best wishes to Kato, especially as Crumble & Nimitz represent an important fluffy part of said household.

We too have had a large bill associated with their care, one that we believe was worth every penny.

Thanks for all the kind thoughts. Kato is mending well, but with two sets of stitches the instructions to not let him jump or climb are proving the most difficult - he only knows Ninja Nutter mode.  Dealing with both the patient and the puppy is quite a handful - not the best timing!

But Iíve managed a little ballasting this morning while Fiona is nurse on duty, and will be doing some photos of the PCF coaches later

I don't have an area of the layout complete enough to provide a decent backdrop for the Peter Charles Fagg coaches, but wanted to have a go anyway.  Just so I can say I joined in

So here's one shot from this lunchtime.  Not a competition entry but showing them sitting on the centre road, waiting to be added as strengtheners to an up London express 8)

Hi Steve,

As others, so glad Kato is OK.

You can also both have a chuckle every day knowing that your cat's name is totally large chickening up newcomer's attempts at Kato info. in the 'search' bit  :D.

I probably shouldn't say this, as I am in the PCF Competition, but I prefer the above photo to the one you have submitted.

Think you can edit. Just a thought. Coach each  ;)

Cheers weave  :beers:

Sticking a bit of Kato cable troughing in place before finishing off the ballasting and weathering around the new points.

I've made a start on bedding in a couple of buildings in the new yard, Kato Yard Huts.  The bases were glued in place yesterday with cork sheet pinned around the edges to give the desired ground level.  A couple of holes were drilled down to provide access for wiring in lights.

Ballast was glued in place this morning and I've just vacuumed off the excess.  The Kato buildings fit snuggly onto the bases but can easily be lifted off for dusting and other maintenance

That ballasting looks good and nice to see someone else cutting the base of the track for a bit of flexibility.  Just one thing though, would it not be more prudent to put the huts on those grey bases rather than the tracks?  ;)

Neat job, Steve.

Didi you have to paint the inside of the buildings to stop light bleed or are they dark/thick enough not to need any work?

I could just leave them where they are and paint them EWS red :D
