It's amazing what shows up on photos...…….those track pins that have evaded the "pliers from the sky" for over a decade have now been removed. :-[ :D

In case you can’t see it properly it’s a baggage car, restaurant car, 1x 1st Class and 2x 2nd Class.

Really must look at getting the layout started, ok New Years resolution.

It looks that way, the three coaches were in there but no loco which is not an issue as I all ready have a Cisalpino loco to suit plus I have a photo with a SBB Cargo liveried loco pulling a set of these coaches so that gives me another option.

Although in the case of the Cisalpino coaches the Arnold ones are slightly higher than the Minitrix ones. Which is surprising. :hmmm:

I think 6 of the SBB Cargo Re 484's were given Cisalpino livery but if they weren't available an Re 484 in Cargo livery was sometimes substituted as you have seen in your photo.
If they had been around at the time of the Cisalpino loco-hauled services your SBB Cargo International Vectron would have been a suitable choice for cross-border operation..

@GScaleBruce Looks great but I am quite surprised that Piko feel the N market can accommodate yet another model of a V200 type, given every major continental maker has produced one over the decades.   Ok the Arnold model is old and the Roco model wasn't as good, but I've found the Fleischmann and Minitrix models are solid performers.

Yes, there's been a bit of discussion about it over on 1zu160. The new Piko loco is a good model, very much to latest standards, and has been reviewed very positively. The general view seems to be that the Piko model is slightly better and the finish is finer, although the Fleischmann model still stands well against it; if one has the Fleischmann model, they didn't see any reason to replace it with the Piko one. I think the Fleischmann model still has the 3 pole motor, whereas the Piko one I think has a coreless motor and is silky smooth. The Piko model is also less expensive than the re-released Fleischmann one. Buy both and you have two running numbers...

Whichever way, it's a fab model - the prototype is up there with the best looking locos ever. Enjoy playing!
