Hi Robert.

Have to unfortunately wait on that one!. It will probably only be available through this site as a full kit with Full decal sheet, exhausts and hand rails, much along the same lines as the MPV others are selling on here.

We'll see how the ptototype comes out, but due to the detail involved it will only print currently in Frosted Ultra Detail i'm afraid.

Paul

Hi , no problem - after a rail blue or TYS twotone - I have etched bits for another and some older MTK cast ends to play around in the mental melting pot.  FUD would be ok just might need more sanding of raised lines I have seen on earlier prints in N but time will tell, please keep up the good work.
Just waiting for payday to get the MPV off the site. But this way of selling a good idea.

Love the idea of one of these. Just a few questions though.

What chassis would it go on and is there a BR blue spray paint available or a nearest colour from halfords etc.

Great stuff and looks really good!

Shaun

Ford Balliol Blue is the recommended one. Not tried it myself.

Hi Paul

I strongly suggest you don't do that, particularly for something relatively standalone like a 128 body it completely defeats the point of having print to order services like Shapeways.  It also means you either have to hold stock or you order stock and then add extra delay into people getting their orders.

It only really makes sense if you are adding in other items which people can't get easily for themselves eg Fox do 128 transfers, or Adam does sides etc.

There is a lot of variants of 128 which you can relatively easily get to market and sell through Shapeways!

Cheers, Mike

Thanks Mike, point taken and I will have a think.... my original reasoning was that Shapeways is pretty expensive though unfortunately.  However I may have found somewhere else to keep costs down for the purchasers, but for that I need to order 10 at a time.... Hence my selling as a kit comments, also FOX only do the Green Livery at present, I am working with them to produce the BR Blue livery Parcels Unit ~ which may not be available directly.

Personally I would be happy with a body-only kit but if you are planning something more comprehensive I will be interested to see.

Out of interest, do you have any idea of roughly how much the body along would cost from Shapeways?
Well, that's just not good enough. Some fount of all knowledge you are!   ;)

Wanted a Parcels DMU but could only find ancient kits so thought I'd produce my own, available on Shapeways soon.

Will fit on a Graham Farish Class 108 chassis.

Just finishing if anyone is interested :-

I want one!!!!!!

Will it be a kit or a body and what is the base colour?

We had a little delivery from Shapeways today, i have to say its come out better than i could have hoped. Here they are sitting on a class 121 chassis without any sanding; a perfect fit...

With walkway removed

You cant see on the pictures but there are handrail holes etc so tonight i shall be painting!!
