Hmmm  :hmmm:
Turmeric over a dusting of smoked paprika, and a sprinkle of nutmeg!

How do you *fix* it Kirky?

Cheers  :beers:

Tbh I havent 'fixed' the turmeric at all. I want to see what it looks like in situ first which wont be till next week. I guess I'll just use matt varnish if I use anything at all.
The application method was simply to use watered down pva and paint the glue onto the roof randomly and then pat on the turmeric with an old paint brush. Leave to dry and brush off excess.

I am tempted to try other spices, I must say.

A quick update.
Over the last few weeks I've been rebuilding the signal panel.

You might notice that we've added 'districts'. This essentially means that the bus feed goes through five Merg district cut out units. This will mean the layout will continue to run when one of the drivers runs into a point the wrong way. previously, this would cut out the whole layout, bringing all trains to an embarrassing halt. Hopefully this will help.
Its been a slow process for is essentially just about improving running, nothing cosmetic. Having said that panel is bigger and a bit better. Still managed to get a lump in the image when I stuck it down,   :veryangry:

We have added a few speed signs, and there's another thread about this here:

Next exhibition is Pontefract at the end of January. Come and say hello.

Is that the same weekend as NGSE? May have to try and get to Epsom otherwise!
