Jon Dean has started a new thread detailing the Wire-in-Tube method of point operation. It features 2 videos of Horseblock Lane in an extremely unclothed state! They can be found here:

Just a quick 'bump' to say Callum and I will be at the Sawbridgeworth Model Railway Exhibition this Saturday 15th March with Horseblock Lane.

Details are: Sawbridgeworth Memorial Hall, The Forebury, off Knight Street, Sawbridgeworth, Herts  CM21 9BD, 10.30 to 16.30.

If you are there please come and say hello!

Had a great day at the Sawbridgeworth show! Really busy for a new show, and hopefully they made a good few quid to keep the Memorial Hall up and running. Had time to chat with a good few people about wire in tube point operation, the N gauge forum and N gauge in general. Got asked for details for other local shows and several people asked if it was a real location! Very nice response and good day overall I think! :)

Just a quick picture of some of the newly acquired MGR wagons being shunted around Horseblock Lane. Daw Mill must have had a lot of 'cripples' to send that week! They'll come into their own for my new layout project, although a short rake does turn up routinely at Mc Callum and Neales wagon repair works.

"Sorry, you are not allowed to view this file. Make sure you are connected to the server." :(

Strangely that only seems to be in Firefox, not Chrome or [spit] Innacurate Explorer.

Me neither, trying Ugh E now.

Nope, no joy there either.

Glad it's not just me.

You have your pictures directory check box set to only allow you and ADMIN to view the files within it..

(Sorry, but you are not allowed to access the gallery)

Click on Media --> My Albums --> Album Name --> then the edit button near the name of your album, scroll down until you see the above...TICK THE BOX and save...

Strange, i've just had to reset all my pictures, even the ones commented on by regular users in the past, because all my albums were unchecked as you described. I've never experienced this before, and certainly didn't conciously change my settings. Anyone else had this? Apologies to all who tried to see it, and now of course the picture is a total anti-climax!

Have seen the article today. It's been a bit edited in places but reads ok I think. I'm very happy with the pictures on the whole (although I keep spotting stuff, I hope they're things that aren't too obvious!) There is even a picture of my son Callum on the cover!

I read Railway Modeller as a kid every month. I never thought I'd build a layout that made it into print.   :claphappy:

It does look good in the article Neal, well done. Congratulations to Callum as well.
The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.

Congratulations on getting Horseblock Lane into the RM. I really enjoyed your article. Unfortunately I probabaly won't be getting to TINGS so I won't have the opportunity to see it operating. Any more shows planned in the coming months?

I was interested to read that you are using Dapol Easi-shunt couplings with minature rare earth magnets as I've just converted Lowbeck Hall East over to this system after having lost patience woth Peco Elsie couplings. I'm finding that while uncoupling with Easi-shunt is very reliable, I can't get the shunt-back function to work. What have been your experiences in this respect?

Kevin

Nice little article, Neal. Hopefully it may also provide some impetus for other youngsters to consider model railways, too
