Thanks Neal! Interesting.  Simpler than I'd expected - I'd fancied there might be more sidings or else cassettes to make switching stock quicker.

Phil,

It was designed to be just a little self contained whole with no add on fiddle yard or the like, (although i'm toying with an extension idea or two). It's essentially 'all out front' with room for two freights and two or three passenger trains at the back. Plenty of time to swap a short freight train whilst the one out front is shunting after all!

Neal.

It's a very neat concept.  Being me, and a bit unsociable, I'm often/usually operating alone, so having a cassette fiddleyard or the likes so I can keep things moving without much delay is usually important.  Less of a bother if there's more than one of you.
I am not a complete lunatic - there are pieces missing!

Great layout, you've captured the modern atmosphere and sense of place really well. Nice to see such a well-executed and thought-out piece of work.

 not usually a modern industrial fan, but this layout is fantastic with a good amount of detail. Looks like the real thing to me and deserves a good amount of praise.

Here is the track plan thanks to Jon Dean, he of the N Gauge layout Lofthole Oil Terminal as seen here. He got Callum and I started down this route!

His computer skills kindly did the business while I was bashing a rather marvellous newly restored D6732 fresh from a nine year overhaul. A real credit to all those who put their elbow grease into it!

Really like this layout, Lots to see in each picture but so simple

One question where did you get the large trees from?

A few more pictures, but there are only so many angles you can get from 54" x 11"!

A great little layout - and very nicely presented. It's got a lot of modelled 'height' without looking contrived and which adds interest.

I noticed it at the NGS AGM and was impressed. Unfortunately being on one of the stands I didn't have time to get any photos.  :(

Thanks for the nice comments 'H'. We are at the Stevenage Museum Model Railway day August 10th and the St Albans Model Engineers show on 28 & 29th September. Are these any use if you're after photos?
