I'm afraid on some of these pictures as you can see above the lighting washed out the backscene rather badly. It looks better when you come to see it (honest!), hopefully at TINGS next month!

More photos was taken by Paul Bason for the Railway Modeller article (July 2014 edition). An overhead view and a close up of one corner of one end.

Ok, the last few of the Paul Bason professionally shot photos for the Railway Modeller. I won't labour them any longer as it's only a 54''x11'' shunting plank and I appreciate there are only so many angles you haven't seen before on this thread.

They have certainly been a great set of pics, Neal.

This is a fantastic layout, missed it on the forum, but saw it in RM thought that's amazing just what I could do with doing.
It fits perfectly on my board, so decided to 'borrow' the idea.  Now I see your a forum member.  Would you mind if I continue with my copy?? I know it's cheeky, if not then will go back to the drawing board.  Don't want to take anything away from your layout.

Imitation is the best form of flattery was a phrase coined by a better man than I! I have absolutely no concerns about you using the track plan as it was originally a twist or two on a plan dreamt up by PostModN66 who also posts on here.

Sharing ideas is what this forum is about isn't it? I'll have to look up the progress of your layout Otterton - reborn on here over the coming weeks. Modelling is often about how many different ways people can express a design.  How many takes have we seen of Minories and the like over the years?

Glad you liked the layout and that it got you planning and thanks for your nice comments. Good luck with your project!

Cheers, Neal!

Horseblock Lane looks amazing in these pictures but after seeing it at TINGS I have to say it was even better than I expected! Even though the layout is small there was always something moving. Great work guys, I enjoyed chatting to you both

Easy to admit it but this layout looks spectacular in the flesh. I enjoyed seeing it at TINGS on Sunday, a real pleasure to see such a balanced layout and running superbly smoothly as well.

Best wishes
Simon
