FK - First Corridor

The one for your rake would most likely be an FO (First Open) and one is set to be released in the next few months.

Oh and i work at Rails of Sheffield

try Railtec, do sets for different regions, and if you find they do what you want in OO and not N, then e-mail Steve and he'll usually produce them for you.

very happy with the service I've had from them. :bounce:

Am I the only one so far to have problems keeping the new mark 1s coupled?

The main culprits seem to be the composites, which on all three of mine have at least one coupling that is set (or bent) too high- and this is straight out of the box.  I thought at first that it was because I had them either side of a Dapol buffet car.  Not the case- remove the buffet and the compo uncouples randomly from the Mark 1 next to it.

I have quite a few spare Brawa and Hobbytrain NEM coupler heads (having fitted buckeyes to my continental goods stock).  Replacing each of the "high" couplers with one of these solves the problem.

Is it just a small batch of coupler heads with banana-shaped shanks and I've been unlucky to get more than my share, or is it more widespread?

All the very best
Les

Not with the Farish ones so far. Dapol Mark 3s with droopy coupler pockets  instead !

Looking again at the three couplers I removed from the composites- all are banana shaped with a distinct upwards bend.  Perhaps given the comment above I should use them on Dapol Gresleys?

All the very best

There were fully decorated sample of The Sleeper Coaches at Midland RailEx. They do look very good, one will be finding it's way onto Sheaf - well the volunteers need somewhere to have a kip :P
