Is it me? I'm sure the chivers one represents the rebuilt version by EWS? It has different ends to the original design. Or have chivers catered for both?

Here's some pictures from Paul Bartlett to add to the confusion.

If I remember rightly the Chivers one is the chassis for one type and the body for the other ?

Hmmmmm  :hmmm:

The plot thickens. I had to do some searches, but found pictures of the Chivers kit in the RMWeb archive and it is the modified ends.

So the version I have is different.

The body that Matthew designed will fit on a Farish PCA. As I have picked up his design and not done personal research, I am not sure how accurate the body size is. The body length as drawn up is 50.8mm long and the PCA is 56.4mm over buffers.

How does this measure up?

Is it worth going on with, as I do not want to duplicate.

Hi,

Just stumbled across this thread. A couple of years ago I did the SSA on shapeways, the re-bodied EWS version for the Farish PCA.

http://shpws.me/oNBB

It was very much a work in progress and I never did get it printed. I was looking into the fact that trying to get the side bars to line up with the suspension similar to the prototype was not good enough, however, I'm a lot less fussy these days.

I might resurrect the model, and have a bash again. I may even have been inspired by this thread.
