Well now, some time has passed since 2013 when I first posted. Life, Family and Health! Now at last I have agreed with a professional model railway builder a competent layout which will accommodate my requirements and will have the ability to run automatically under computer control and DCC.

I hope to be able to post the layout which shows the main activity on one level and all the accommodation sidings and fiddle yards on anunderground level in due course.

Great news indeed, especially the implied news of improved health. :beers:
“We are indebted to those soldiers who served with courage and distinction to bring peace to Northern Ireland,” UK Defence Secretary Gavin Williamson said. “The welfare of our former service personnel is of the utmost importance.”

Following much advice and some serious thought I am commissioning a layout honouring the 1962 layout for Gleneagles but with added interest of a Heritage Railway centre. All fiddle yards will be subsurface.

All train running will be DCC and automatic control.
