I suggest you download an app called Splice and film a few videos then use it to cut them together...

Nice dancing posts by the way!

Is splice easy to upload to youtube? The last few vids I have done are from youtube capture app which is already synchronized with youtube (for obvious reasons) and they are a doddle to upload. I then just copy and paste the link and put in the thread. I can have a video done and dusted in minutes, however quality isn't brill, hence dancing yard lamps!!

Do many people have experience with filming from their mobile phones?

Thanks for the video.
That is definitely strange the way the yard lights dance about !
If it looks right then it most probably is right.

Splice saves the video to your iTunes camera role so if you have the YouTube app on your phone and have logged it in, in the camera role there's an option once you open a video to publish to you tube

Hello Everybody, especially to the new members out there

UPDATE: Its been a while, I have'nt logged on or updated in over 1 year. I haven't done much on, or with N gauge over the last year either. I had the blues a while back and thought I had gone as far as I could go with N so I literally shelved it!................................
Instead I turned to HO/OO (I can hear the boo's in the back ground ) to experiment with DCC and especially sound fitted locos.
Having over 70+ N gauge locos on DC with a DC layout I knew that it would be both costly and impractical to convert to DCC sound in N scale.
Starting afresh in a larger scale I could buy either sound fitted or sound ready locos straight off the shelf and with a house move 2 years ago I now had the space! Anyway, here I am back on the NGF. ;)

So what about my layout? It has been in storage in my heated garage for over a year now. Over this Easter bank hol I took stock of all my N gauge. Looking at the layout, it is in good nick however it needs a good spring clean. Track needs deep cleaning and surfaces need dust removal.
This will be my forthcoming task............
My intention is to have this operational in the next few weeks. It wont take much. (so watch this space)
Longterm, paintbrush will be deployed and areas that look worn/weathered will be made good, detail added like people/animals etc and overall brought back too life.

Over the bank holiday I have had a good sort out of all my N gauge (stock take) and I have updated my spreadsheets and made a new document detailing what loco pulls what rolling stock, making it easier to decide exactly what to run, rather than being overwhelmed by choices.
Going forward I should have no hurdles to put me off running and playing with my locos rather than being stumped with what I have and all the choices! (its amazing how re-organising can breathe fresh air and new light on a subject ) I have alot of stuff im getting rid of as a result of the stock take. eBay here I come!

I know I have gone as far as I can/will/want to go with N gauge however i'm happy with what I have. The collection wont be getting any bigger as I have all that I want. All my N gauge is/will ever be DC whereas my new interest is DCC sound in the larger scales however I will keep my N gauge running as unlike larger scales, full length realistic trains can be believably run in good scenery with out taking up too much space. Thats the beauty of N.

Old forumite mates, hello again , new forumites, why don't you sit back and look through this fine thread from the beginning and you will see the birth of Old Warren TMD layout and what it became. Hopefully I will still be able to do it justice for the future!
Enjoy and watch this thread for forthcoming updates. :thankyousign:

Very good to see you back.
With such a large amount of track, stock and locomotives it would indeed be expensive, and time consuming, to convert to DCC so I think you have made a sensible decision.
Looking forward to seeing your layout reincarnated.
Iím sure lots of the old forumites will be pleased to see you back.
Great stuff.
If it looks right then it most probably is right.

I have started the spring clean of my layout Old Warren. First task was to clean the track so PECO track rubber was deployed. Rails were cleaned on the inner and outer loops only at this stage. After this I used a dyson hand held to suck away all the dust and deposits off the track and I hoovered the layout over as a whole.

The beauty of a dyson hand held is that if you suck up something important like a figure it is very easy to get back providing of course that you empty the dirt collection bin before every use. That way you donít have to sift through old dust to find a figure or sign that got sucked up by mistake.

I then had trains running on inner and outer loops:

Upload but here is a quick video via my YouTube channel:

https://youtu.be/amN9qYHhkL8

I Have started to clean the Motor way that goes to the left hand of the layout.
Iím actually going to redo this scene with only one side of the motor way under construction/upgrade leaving the other side fairly busy.
Picture to follow.

Here is the motor way scene:

This is on my work bench. Full dust down being done. Then repaint/touch up to commence. Notice lanes nearest to camera have had the bollards removed. This will become the completed motorway.
